You either love them or you hate them, but no matter your opinion, you know who they are. Over the years, American Chopper’s own Paul Teutul Sr. and Paul Teutul Jr. have brought an explosive brand of television into many of our homes. The feuding, arguing, and destruction of office doors, managed to bring custom bike building and motorcycles in general into the consciousness of folks who otherwise wouldn’t have been one bit interested.

Their split was a public affair just over a year ago and the TV show was all but left for dead, leaving fans with the question of what, exactly, would become of the Teutuls.

For those of you still wondering, fear not — Paul Jr. is back! The younger Teutul and his crew will be in Sturgis, S.D., on the J&P Cycles lot debuting a brand new build and a brand new TV show! Paul Jr. has inked a deal with Bikers Choice and will be unveiling the first project featuring Bikers Choice parts and accessories, along with the insane fabrication and wild design he’s known for. The new TLC show, American Chopper:  Senior vs. Junior, is scheduled to air in August. Along with his new company, Paul Jr. Designs, he has a brand new shop down the road from the old Orange County Choppers shop, and is bringing along some old friends.  That’s right, if the new company and new shop weren’t enough for you, Mikey and Vinnie are back in action. Both will be working side-by-side with Paul Jr. Make sure you keep an eye out on www.JPCycles.com for a new line of custom parts from Paul Jr. Designs & Bikers Choice in the near future.

On a final note, Orange County Choppers has been very polarizing since its inception.  Since the show went off the air, there were grumblings of “good riddance” or, “I’m glad those guys are done” sentiment around parts of the motorcycle community. Lost in the haze of bickering on the old American Chopper show was the simple fact that these guys were good for the motorcycle community. For most of you reading this, motorcycles are a large part of your lives, but the same cannot be said for the majority of people who watch TV. So when American Chopper found its way into mainstream America, it brought with it a wave of new interest in motorcycles. OCC helped introduce motorcycling to many people who otherwise may have never ridden a bike. More people  on motorcycles translates to more motorcycle awareness — and that’s always a good thing.

Stay tuned for more updates right here on the J&P Cycles Blog, or you can keep up with the news on our Facebook and Twitter pages. Don’t miss the action going down in Sturgis at the J&P Cycles store at 1650 Lazelle St.

The rich just get richer!!!

@roadking, if you think for a second that Big Bear and Jesse James don’t build thier bikes the same way that OCC does….you’re sadly mistaken. OCC, Big bear, Jesse James and the rest of them all buy parts, modify them and install them. The only thing that are ever usually made from scratch in house is the tanks, bars, exhaust, seats and a few brackets and flair here and there. With the exception of Big Bear since they have become such a large company they probably make their own frames, but I can assure you that if they do they are not one offs. They would either be contracted out and are at a minimum mass produced on some type of CNC machine. Sorry to rain down on your parade, but that is the reality.

I started watching OCC BECAUSE they showed how they did the metal work – details of the construction. It was quite interesting to see not only how it was done, but a real demonstration of skill. Then the TV show twisted it all into a ridiculous caricature. Likely I won’t be watching the “new” version either.

I liked the show. I wondered what happened when I saw vinnie on some other cycle show. I thought all the drama was just part of the entertainment kind of like championship wrestling. Made up. But I guess not. Sr. needs to up the Prozac sounds like.

The only thing OCC and the rest of the bike builders has done was made custom bikes nothing more then a cookie cutter bike. . just like Harleys. . and who’s going to shell out 25 grand for a production cookie cutter “custom” bike. . the bike industry is dead! They are cool to look at.. but the masses do not have that kind of money to toss at 2-wheels.

I LOVED THE SHOW. Jr TOOK ALOT MORE THAN I WOULD HAVE, AND I AGREE VINNIE WAS USED AN ABUSED.

I’LL WATCH THE NEW SHOW ALSO, EVEN MY WIFE DOESN’T CARE FOR Sr. HE JUST HAS NO IDEA HOW TO HANDLE PEOPLE. HE’S WORKING ON A STROKE, HOPE IT DOESN’T HAPPEN BUT HE NEEDS TO CHILL.

Both Sr and Jr are putting on a very good act…. the show started to get stale and so they dreamed up this “split”. Perhaps it will work and the ratings will return, who knows…. They did one smart thing by bringing Vinnie back as he was the only individual on the show who “acted” normal.

COME ON EVERYBODY..ITS CALLED SHOW BUSINESS.
SMOKE AND MIRRORS…THE GREAT AMERICAN WAY.

It’s funny that there are people who take special time out of their day to bash the OCC guys.Maybe these people were not as successful as OCC and are jealous. To them I say, stick to your guns, putting down others never gets you on top.

I enjoyed watching the show and they took their business to a very profitable place, employed a few people and gave back to their community. Whether they did good things just because of the TV show or because they wanted to, I tip my hat to them. I wish anyone good luck in their businesses these days! We all need to be opening businesses and employing people to rebuild the American dream.

I quit watching the show quite some time ago. I was interested in learning to build a bike. Sure the tension sometimes between Jr. and Sr. was amusing and sometimes sad, but that was about ratings. Lots of guys act like Sr. but that is because of how they came up. It doesn’t speak to what is in the heart. Fathers and sons have there own individual dynamics. Jr. needed to learn a work ethic and his father was trying to imprint that on him. Hopefully, now that Jr. will be in charge, some of dad’s work ethic will start to show. The best thing about the show for me was, that it gave me the gumption to finally build myself what is the perfect cruiser for me. I got it new, and tore it down to the frame and started from there. Yep, it’s some work from great off the shelf fabricators, some custom, but all mine. There is no other bike quite like it and it fits my personality, riding style and body just right. It’s not a Harley. It’s a Roadstar. It turns heads everywhere I ride it. I spent lots of time in the garage finessing just the right fit and feel for me. Riding is like that. I’ve been riding nearly all of my life. It’s an indivudal pastime that we can also share with others.
I wish the Tuetels all the luck in the world with their new endeavor.

I JUST WANT TO LET EVERYONE OUT THERE KNOW THOUGH SOME TIMES IT WAS UNCOMFORTABLE TO WATCH FATHER AND SON GOING AT IT. I LOVED THE SHOW AND HOPE TO SEE MANY RERUNS.
I USUALLY GET STIRRED UP AND GET OUT TO THE GARAGE TO WORK ON MAKING SOMETHING FOR MY BIKE OR JUST SPENDING TIME ENJOYING IT BECAUSE OF AN EPISODE.
I GREW UP IN A SIMILAR WORLD AND IT DIDN’T HURT ME AT ALL IN FACT I AM THE MAN I AM TODAY BECAUSE OF IT.
IT HAS MADE ME PUSH MYSELF HARDER AND MADE ME A BETTER MECHANIC.
IT IS HARED TO WORK FOR A PARENT ANYONE WILL TELL YOU THAT.
ALL THE BEST ON THE NEW SHOW I WILL BE WATCHING.
BOB
THAT’S JUST PART OF LIFE GET OVER IT AND MOVE ON.

Correct me if I am wrong but wasn’t Mikey the best part of OCC? We have have all come across someone like Mikey in our lives and there would be nothing better to see him turn his motivation of life around and actually achieve some greatness at something. Anything. Every week I would wait for something great to happen to Mikey and it never happened. Maybe in the new show things will start happening for him now. Go Mikey Go!

[...] a new company and a new TV show, having announced his partnership with Biker Choice last month (see BREAKING NEWS: Paul Jr. is Back!). On Friday, Junior will unveil his newest creation on the J&P Cycles lot in what is sure to be [...]

I thought Paul Jr came across a lot better than dear old dad.Can we please stop showing the arguerment between father and son, they get old very fast.Mickey needs to cut his hair lose weight, and have a job at Paul Jr place were he can make money and feel good about himself .VINNEY you rock ,you could make this show am so glad you are back.Hope next week it is more on Paul Jr and his shop .Good luck you two.

I think jr will blow the old man out of the water. With “Vinnie” by his side the creations they will build will CRUSH the “Ol man” has ever done. If it was not for jr. The “Ol man would be drawing “rocking chair”. Sr. Should back off the “Steroids” long ago and maybe He would still have a mariaige and Family. I feel sorry for the “Ol man” in a way but He done it to Him self. Now the other side of the coin Sr. still could mend fences if He would loose His pride and be the Father He should of been. Forgiveness is needed all around, Amen?

OCC sucked then…probably will suck in the future. Making big money in the show business world does not make you a good person or even successful in my eyes. Rich maybe, successful in life…hardly. Except for Vinnie and one or two other hired hands…they were a bunch of hammer mechanics that subbed everything out except very rough welding fabrication which had to be all smoothed and molded by craftsman before it could be plated or painted.

Rage, Rage, Rage……where did it get you Sr.?????Retire to your home in the woods…..thats where all US Viet-Nam Vets went….

Jr’s new bikes are AWESOME! I wish him the best with his new shop.
Mikey rocks,, he needs to hook up with Jenny Craig or Subway become a spokesman loose some weight and start doing some TV hosting,, what a genuinly great personality Mikey has.

Sr is a complete tool,, what an epic failure as a father and a human being,, way to sell out your family for power and money you dbag. And that Jason Poole is a complete spaz idiot,, no talent hack the bikes he designs look stupid, he needs to stick to running his computer programs and keep his dullard face away from the cameras.
